As a service provider, Kasper keeps an eye out for anything likely to impact his bottom line - such as the activities of Denmark's Anti Pirat Gruppen which apparently, is trying to get about 150 KaZaA and eDonkey users to fork out up to $14,000 each, "for illegally downloading copyright material".

Robert Stack recalls the audience reaction 50 years ago at the Hollywood premiere of a movie in which he starred: "People jumped up from their chairs and ran screaming out of the theater."

No, it wasn't a comment on Stack's acting. As he explains: "There was a long tracking shot of a train coming around a corner, then coming directly toward the camera. It looked as though it was going to run over everybody in the theater ... It scared the hell out of 'em."

Pirated Potter II film appears online?

Days before the premiere of "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," the film's producer said it fears pirated copies are showing up on the Internet.

Warner Bros. said in a statement Tuesday that an illegal copy of the film has appeared on the Internet, which often contains bootleg copies of films, even before they hit theaters.

A CONMAN placed an advertisement on a Yahoo website, which said that he could help people secure bank loans.

And along came sales coordinator Tang Tuck Heng and designer Leo Chap Hin, who needed $30,000 each to invest in their businesses.
Surfing the Internet in November last year, the two men came across the advertisement posted by Gavin Fazal Nabi, a 26-year-old freelance disc jockey.

This is partially understandable, because while consumer attitudes can be polled, translating that into effect on sales is something harder to quantitatively measure. Yet no one will argue that consumer dissatisfaction can have a powerful effect on sales. And what if we get to a point of consumer anger?
