More concrete information about GeForce3 cards begins to appear. One more store has exposed 3D Prophet III in sale despite of NDA. Moreover, they have not only 64MB-DDR SDRAM version, but "128MB-DDR? / 500MHz? / GeForce3 Ultra?" card as well. Read more about it over at VCNews.

Got this from our affliates, geeknews:

I noticed this story at AMD Zone and I thought you might want to read it. After reading the comparison on CRN I wasn't
really surprised. They show SySMark scores in Windows 98SE with PC133 and DDR RAM with well done graphs, Intel has
this to say about the bad scores:

ABIT Sound?

Back at Comdex, there was a demo at Abit's booth of a set of speakers they were demoing. Well they've now also put out a 5.1 sound card. I'm constantly surprised by how many markets this company dips its toes into. Anyway, there's a review of it up on 3D Sound Surge. You can head there to see how well they did.

Panasonic redefines the floppy disk.

I've seen this story on a few other sites already, but I'll post it here for the benefit of those who don't traverse those other places. The parent company of Panasonic has recently come out with a new version of the floppy drive that transforms a standard 1.44mb floppy disk into a 32mb monster floppy disk. Granted we've seen this type of tech before right? With the LS120 SuperDisk. Still, if I didn't just throw out about 50 of those 1.44mb disks I might consider investing in one of these puppies.

Gone are the days of puny 4mb or less video cards on notebooks. ATi has for quite awhile now offered the M4 32MB for notebook configurations, but doesn't a "Radeon Inside" sound good to you? Check out the article over here.

This little article over here courtesy of TomsHardware takes a look at the performance of the latest U160-SCSI drive's performance as compared to that of an UATA-100 drive. Nice read for those who think that their ATA100 drive is pretty 1337.

This is a MIPS based chip that has an ability to run at 500Mhz while only user 900 miliwatts of power. At 400Mhz it only uses 500 miliwatts. This is great news for all you PDA lovers. The current MSRP for this chip is ONLY US$40. This is priced well below the current chips that run at or around 400Mhz. Products using this chip will be available in the 4th quarter of 01.

New High Tech Copper and more

IBM has developed new chip technology called CMOS 95. This uses new high speed transitors and allows circuits as small as .13 microns. This new technology supposedly allows the chip to run 25 - 30 times faster than the chips currently in production. This means multi-gigahertz chips for the home user (eventually).

Pentium 4 Systems - To Cry Or Not To Cry

Looking through my standard list of hardware sites when I came across this article about P4 systems over at TomsHardware. I'm still reading through it now and I suggest you give it a read too, seems real juicy since the P4's seem to be the target of extreme criticism (cheers).
