Mozilla has pushed out another beta for Firefox 4, just nine days after the last test build iteration of the forthcoming browser arrived.

Firefox 4 beta 10 comes with very few changes, given that the browser is at a stable stage and was granted the all-important feature complete level late last year.

The browser will come loaded with Mozilla's JaegerMonkey Javascript engine extension, additional hardware acceleration, and will allow coders to build plug-in-free 3D graphics via WebGL. Firefox 4 has been built on the open source outfit's Gecko 2.0 web platform.

You may have heard that the HTC HD2 can be hacked to run both the Windows Phone 7 OS and the Android OS. But now it can run both...at the same time!

Ok, not really at the same time (I'm sure you're imagining some sort of crazy WinPho7-Android mash-up), but from the same partitioned SD card.

The cool kids over at xda-developers have put up a tutorial on how to partition an SD card to run both Windows Phone 7 and Android. It's not exactly a one-step process, so they also went ahead and made a video.

The other day I downloaded a very nifty app for my Motorola Droid: Arcade by Kongregate. The app promised to offer 300 Flash games on my phone. To be clear, these were all games from Kongregate.com, a Flash-game portal of some renown. I tried a few games and found them to work well and being a geek, wasted no time telling my friends about the app.

The software, which became available on Monday, costs about seven euros ($10) for a three-month subscription.

2011 has only just begun, and already there is plenty going on in the world of OS software. From Apple OS X Lion to Microsoft Windows 8, here are the top 5 noteworthy OS developments.

Flushed with the success of the App Store for its mobile iOS operating system, Apple has recently introduced the Mac App Store for its desktop OS X operating system. Its software marketplaces are central to Apple's plan of taking a cut of every application bought to run on its operating systems, and way back in 2008 the company applied for a trademark for the name "App Store."

If you’ve been closely watching the Android space, you’re probably aware that Google has recently released version 2.3 “Gingerbread” of its smartphone operating system, which currently only ships on the Samsung Nexus S phone.
