I
bet you're sitting there going "oh no... its another one of L33t's
hair-brained theories". Well in a way you're sort of right although
- just hear me out kayz. I was sitting around the other day in my Business
Organisation class, and it was as boring as it always is - The topic for
the day was Maslow's Hierachy of Needs. Anyway, according to this guy
called Abraham Maslow, there are like 5 steps before you reach a state

WINS vs DNS

The main difference between WINS and DNS is that WINS is typically dynamic and DNS is static. WINS contains
Windows-only devices, specifically PC's and NT servers, DNS typically does not contain any PC's, it usually has servers
and sometimes network equipment only, but it is multi-platform (Unix Windows, Cisco, Netware, etc.). Wins is used
specifically for Netbios name resolution (to IP address); DNS is used for host name to IP address

further ramblings - lets get to it.

to do is just write about it. Pretty fun when you think of it. Anyways,
a month ago, I had a chance to review a Gateway Microsever. This small little
cube that looks a lot like the Qube from Cobalt networks - in essence, the
Gateway Microserver is a Cobalt Qube with Gateway software and

Here we are - another month, another Issue. The interest in our site has
been increasing quite a bit... we're actually moving servers pretty soon
and the new site will have a brand new look - although the content will
still be hacking/phreaking and computer security focused. The actual date
of server move has yet to be confirmed but hopefully we can get it done
before Issue #6.

Well it's 5:30 in the morning and I can't get to sleep, so I though that
I would write a quick article. Due to the time constraints this article
will be short and in more or less rough draft form. If there is a demand
for it, I'll write up a more detailed article at a later date.
