Originally the source code leaked in a 32meg package last week. The leak spelt the beginning of an investigation into how this could have happened. The result? A flurry of forums across the internet all buzzing about the leak of code to one of the most anticipated games of all time. Most believe the leak of source code is a bad thing and yet the leak of a beta copy of the game isn't.

WHILE CRUISING around the iSeries LAN gaming event recently, I noticed many people had spent a lot of money on their systems, with their hugely over-priced graphics cards, multi-processor, water cooled and stupidly fast electricity guzzling machines. Yet, in almost all cases (excuse the pun), they were accompanied by mediocre to poor displays and accessories, often held back from their Pentium 120mhz days.

Twenty-one years might seem a long time to wait for a game sequel, but not if you're Disney.

Buena Vista Games, the video-game division of the entertainment giant, is bringing back the sci-fi cult classic "TRON" August 26 as an interactive adventure for Windows-based computers.

"TRON 2.0" is an immersive first-person action game that includes elements of racing and role-playing game genres, too.

The mix works well. Add to it clever visuals and multiplayer modes, and "TRON 2.0" stands out as a winner.

Enter The Matrix game sales top 1 million

Europe's largest video game maker Infogrames/Atari said on Friday that its new "Enter The Matrix" game sold more than one million copies in the first week of its launch.

"Enter the Matrix" launched on May 15 is "the No. 1 selling video game worldwide selling more than one million units in North America and Europe in the first week of availability," the company said in a statement.

L33tdawg: Indeed ... the game ties in with The Animatrix (the anime/CGI DVD) and the movie extremely well. The cutscenes (both CGI and full motion video) do a splendid job of making the player feel that they're actually IN the game/movie. Wicked stuff.
