iPhone owners sue Apple over storage space, allege fraud

A pair of Florida men have sued Apple for allegedly misrepresenting the amount of storage room available to owners of 16GB iPhones and iPads.

The two, Paul Orshan and Christopher Endara, accused Apple of "unfair, unlawful, and fraudulent business acts or practices," including false advertising, and asked a California federal judge to designate the lawsuit as a class action so that others can participate.

Purported 'iPad Pro' render hints at additional speakers on Apple's rumored 12" tablet

A new picture claims to show part of the schematic for a so-called "iPad Pro, complete with a speaker grille space at the top of the device next to the lock button, suggesting Apple's larger tablet could include a more powerful speaker array.

The image, said to be captured from a Foxconn factory, was spotlighted on Sunday by Nowhereelse.fr. The report states that a person claiming to be a Foxconn factory worker captured the image, which represents an alleged 3D rendering of the anticipated device.

Cards supported by Apple Pay now reflect 90% of card transaction volume in US

On Tuesday Apple announced that ten new banks have agreed to work with Apple Pay to offer credit card support. With those additions, plus the recent additions of SunTrust, Barclaycard, and USAA banks, Apple Pay now accepts credit cards that represent about 90 percent of US credit card transaction volume, according to the New York Times.

Kaspersky has used its annual gaze into the crystal ball of cybercrime to predict attacks on digital wallet and virtual payment schemes, citing Apple Pay as a potential target.

The malware-mashing security company has suggested that ATMs and payment systems will be likely targets for hackers in the coming 12 months, naming the recently launched Cupertino Bucks service as a probable victim.

Apple has released the latest update for OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.1. It contains a number of fixes and improvements to Yosemite You can find OS X 10.10.1 in the Updates section of the Mac App Store.

This update fixes Wi-Fi issues with Yosemite, as well as connections with Microsoft Exchange servers.

iMessage deactivation problems earn Apple a federal lawsuit

When Adrienne Moore switched from an iPhone 4 to a Samsung Galaxy S5 earlier this year, problems with iMessage prohibited her new phone from getting text messages sent to her number. She filed a lawsuit in May, and Reuters reports that US District Judge Lucy Koh has ruled that the suit will move forward.
