IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG for another fault to be unearthed with Apple's Iphone Flaw, this time with its Bluetooth connectivity.

As The INQUIRER reported last week, there were murmurings among the faithful of Bluetooth issues. Not surprisingly those believing that anything to come out of Steve Jobs's company could do no wrong refuted the claims, but it seems there is no doubt that we have another point to add to our Iphone 4 fail log.

Those of you holding out for white iPhone 4s will have to continue your practice in patience: Apple says that they continue to be a challenge to manufacture and won't be available until later this year. That's right—no longer will they be available in the second half of July, which was already pushed back from late June when the iPhone 4 originally launched. Apple has pushed the date back again by apparently several months, and is no longer committing to a date.

Apple is at the industry leader in many areas, but it certainly doesn't want to know it's the industry leader in terms of security flaws. That's the conclusion reached by security firm Secunia, in their half-year report for 2010 (.PDF).

In the first six months of 2010, Apple had more reported vulnerabilities than any other company. Oracle was second, and Microsoft was third. It should be noted, however, that the report only notes the number of vulnerabilities, not how severe they are, how quickly they are patched, or what the possibility of exploit is.

Apple's news conference last week on the iPhone 4 antenna and reception fiasco gets an A- grade, but its overall response rates just a C, according to a crisis communications expert.

"For the test, I'd give Apple a B+ or A-, but for the entire semester, they get just a C," said Patrick Kerley, senior digital strategist with Levick Strategic Communications, a Washington, D.C.-based firm that specializes in situations where companies are backed against a wall.

People who already paid for a case, which reduces interference, will get a refund, Jobs said. "We're not perfect; phones aren't perfect," Jobs said. "We want to make all our users happy."

Although Apple has called a press conference tomorrow to discuss well-documented problems with the iPhone 4's antenna and reception, a new report claims that a recall of the handset won't be among the announcements.

Citing a person familiar with the matter, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple doesn't plan to instate a recall of the more than 2 million units it's shipped worldwide thus far.
