Next iPhone's motherboard possibly spotted with a dash of extra wireless

A WeiPhone forums user posts a couple of photos of what is apparently claimed to be a motherboard/logicboard for the next-generation iPhone. If legitimate, the part appears to be a prototype unit because it is missing much of the typical labeling.

Unfortunately, the new iPhone’s processor does not appear to be pictured in these photos. In May, we reported that Apple is testing next-generation iPhone hardware with a new A5-2 processor. This reportedly is an A5-based CPU (like in the iPhone 4S) but with various tweaks.

Apple Responds To Journalist Victim of Apple ID Hack

Last week, Wired columnist Mat Honan’s digital life was destroyed by hackers who were able to connect to his Apple ID and remotely erase all of the data on his iPhone, iPad, and MacBook.

Apple responded today to Honan via a spokesperson, Natalie Kerris. In a statement to Wired, where Honan posted an account of his experiences, Apple promised to look into how users can protect their data and security better when they need to reset their account passwords.

Apple wants Samsung punished for leaking rejected evidence to press

With the Apple v. Samsung patent trial underway, Samsung has angered both US District Court Judge Lucy Koh and Apple by providing the press evidence that had been ruled inadmissible in court. Koh demanded that Samsung lawyers explain the leak, and Apple today asked Koh to issue sanctions against Samsung for trying to influence the jury through the media.
