Self-proclaimed Anonymous spokesperson under arrest after anti-FBI video
The noose tightened around prominent Anonymous-related leaders yet again, with the arrest late Wednesday of Barrett Brown, of Dallas County, Texas. This marks the second time Brown has been raided by federal authorities.
Brown previously described himself as an Anonymous spokesperson, but announced his departure from the group last year. He is now being held in federal detention in Dallas on charges of threatening a federal agent, according to his attorney’s Twitter account.
That same law firm, Liedermann Devine of Ventura, California, tweeted on Thursday afternoon that he also "needs a local Dallas atty ASAP." The arrest came just hours after Brown posted a 13-minute YouTube video entitled "Why I'm Going to Destroy FBI Agent Robert Smith.”
