Arrest was a 'favor' says Anonymous - no end to the hacking
Following the revelation last week that LulzSec's so-called leader was in fact working for the FBI for a number of months to help turn in other top ranking members, Anonymous has since distanced itself from the disgraced former member, calling the FBI arrest “a favor” while promising to continue its campaign of hacking.
Tweeting via one of its official Twitter accounts, the group told its followers to “be evasive” while at the same time issuing a warning to all authorities that seek to apprehend them.
Last week the FBI together with the help of police forces from around the globe arrested five top ranking members of LulzSec, courtesy of information reportedly provided by Sabu. An FBI official at the time said that the arrest would be “devastating to the organization” adding that they were “chopping off the heads off LulzSec”. While LulzSec might have had a “head” to chop off, Anonymous on the other hand is quite a different beast altogether and is not a hierarchical organization – in short, it has no leader.
