Anonymous hackers target neo-Nazi websites

A German subset of the hacker collective Anonymous is taking aim at neo-Nazi websites.

In an effort dubbed "Operation Blitzkrieg," Anonymous is trying to bring down neo-Nazi-affiliated websites and publish private data from the people who patronize them.

The websites of neo-Nazi forums, clothing retailers and Germany's far-right NPD party were all down for long periods this week, according to Germany's Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper. While it's unclear if all of the site outages were linked to Anonymous, the group claimed responsibility for many of them via the @OpBlitzkrieg Twitter account.
