The Mozilla security team is proud to be once again sponsoring the Hack-in-the-Box HackWeekDay competition, this time at the Haxpo conference in Amsterdam, 28-30 May 2014. Come learn about Firefox OS, make apps to compete for great prizes and help shape the future of the mobile web.

This HackWeekDay event is the biggest yet, and will actually be run over the course of three separate days. There will daily prizes, and you can compete in as many days as you want:

Mozilla is proud to be once again sponsoring HackWeekDay at the Hack-in-the-Box security conference in Malaysia in October. The event is a chance for developers – both students and professional – to come together and prototype new apps and features for Firefox OS – security-related or otherwise. We want to build on the already strong community in the region and encourage the open-source community to support the future of the mobile web.

At the end of last May, Mozilla sponsored the HackWEEKDAY contest at the third annual Hack In the Box conference in the Netherlands. The contest ran alongside the rest of the HITB conference which featured presentations on security topics including new iPhone jailbreaks and a second day key note from Bruce Schneier.
