As we know that Apple has released the iOS 4.3 firmware for public. The very next thing people are searching for is the iOS 4.3 jailbreak. Famous iPhone hacker and iPhone Dev Team member, MuslcNerd has tweeted that there are multiple sources they are going to get the 4.3 firmware jailbreak.

The first one is Charlie Miller’s jailbreak exploit that he is going to reveal tomorrow in the Pwn2Own event. Last but not the least, Comex is also working to jailbreak the latest firmware.

Apple rolled out new software updates Tuesday, though probably not the one some users were looking for. Instead of the iOS 4.3 update that some corners of the Internet insisted was in the works for Tuesday, the company released Java updates for Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6.

According to Apple’s release notes, the Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 4 brings improved compatibility, security, and reliability by updating Java SE 6 to 1.6.0_24. The update requires Mac OS X 10.6.4 or later.

Apple backs down on glass iPhone

When the iPhone 4 was announced, Jobs' Mob made much of the heavy duty glass that it put on the back of it. The glass, Apple told us, was stronger than the plastic that had been put on the earlier iPhones. It was also shiny.

Sure enough the Tame Apple Press said it was wonderful and Jobs got another standing ovulation from them when he waved the iPhone 4 before them. However in the midst of the many things that went wrong with the iPhone 4, including the fact it needed a rubber band to work, cut out when you held it to your ear, and had nasty brown smudges on it, was the glass.

The iOS 4.3 Final version is all set to release on March 11th. This new iOS will bring new features to iPhone, iPod touch and will support iPad 2. As always many hackers and jailbreak tool developers are warning users about updating to the new iOS version. To ensure that no one loses key jailbreak functionality and in the case of those who rely on an unlock – the ability to have an unlocked phone, users are warned to not upgrade until there is a successful jailbreak method established. But this time TheBigBoss is issuing a serious caution about updating to iOS 4.3.

The Apple iPad 2 does impress with its much better performance, thinner form-factor and similar price compared to the first-gen tablet from Apple. But the second-generation slate from the company lacks radical improvements. It does not offer a package of features that will inevitably be available on competing devices and eventually on the iPad 3.

Just last week news broke that Apple was offering copies of its yet-to-be released Mac OS X 10.7, or Lion, operating system to security researchers and soliciting their feedback.

In an interview with Computerworld's Gregg Keizer, Mac security expert Charlie Miller, with Independent Security Evaluators, and an author of the Mac Hacker's Handbook, acknowledged that he wasn't aware of Apple taking such steps before.

Five things the iPad 2 didn't get

One of the questions I've been peppered with since the iPad 2 announcement was whether I was going to replace my first-generation iPad for the new one. The answer for me is yes, since it's part of my job to live with these gadgets so I can understand their strengths, weaknesses, and appeal. But for most original iPad owners, I'm guessing they'll be holding out for version 3.

Apple on Wednesday took the wraps off of its second-generation tablet, officially dubbed "iPad 2," with a completely new, thinner design, a faster dual-core A5 processor, and two video cameras, shipping on March 11.

The new iPad 2 is one-third thinner than the first-generation model, just 8.8mm thick, even thinner than the iPhone 4. At just 1.3 pounds, it is lighter than the previous 1.5 pound iPad. It will carry the same starting price of $499 for the entry-level 16GB Wi-Fi-only model.
