An Australian magistrate has ruled that an iPad owner acted lawfully when he used Apple's Find my iPad app to locate his stolen fondleslab in a private home.

ABC News and the Canberra Times report that when a Canberra man's iPad mysteriously disappeared he fired up the Find my iPad App. Doing so revealed, thanks to the fondleslab's built-in GPS, that it was located in a nearby suburb. The newly iPad-less man went to the location indicated by the app and heard his iPad making noises within a home.

When it comes to smartphones, everyone uses their devices just a little bit differently. And when it comes to the iPhone in particular, people sometimes have very specific use cases for work, home, and social lives. Some users might feel like the iPhone's screen is too small for their spreadsheet editing on-the-go, while others might feel that the entire device is already too big to fit into a pocket while skydiving. A fingerprint scanner could be useful to those who work high-security jobs, while it might come off as a superfluous expense for a teacher.

What you see above (courtesy of repair site iResQ) could very well be the first images of the battery which will be used in the upcoming iPhone 5 smartphone, and it certainly seems to be blown up a wee bit longer, just like the purported display of the iPhone 5 itself. I guess all will be revealed at the coming September 12th event that has seen press invites roll out, and the only thing left to do is play the patience card.
