YouTube suffers morning crash
Google’s video clip sharing behemoth has been down for most of this morning.
For several hours, surfers couldn’t get their fix of amusing videos of children spaced out after visiting the dentist, or cats playing the keyboard.
The reason for the downtime hasn’t been specified, and all YouTube said during the outage was that engineers were busy fixing it.
But already whispers of the prospect of a Chinese hacker’s retaliation are doing the rounds, what with Google taking action and refusing to censor search results in China, leading to the closing down of Google.cn this week. The truth is probably far less dramatic, but hey, the story certainly sounds good.
