Will the real Slim Shady please stand up...
L33tdawg: I got this in an anonymous e-mail today. Certainly quite interesting to say the least. I do wonder what @Stake and Mixter have to say, so if either Mixter or anyone from @Stake is reading this -- please post your comments. We're all listening.
"Hi, I was browsing some website today, looking for an article about
peer to peer and distributed applications. I came across this
site and I found
this article,
titled "Peer to peer and future of distributed applications". These
slides seem similar to Mixter's slide that was presented at CanSecWest
2001. Sure enough, I went to Mixter's site and found the same
slides. Here's another
link that I found, the same topic, but written by Mixter. What is going on?
Infeneum's site also contains an article titled Guideline for C Source Code Auditing (by
Mustapa Khan). The same article is available at Mixter's site here. The contents are the same, but the author's name is different.
Who are these Infeneum clowns? Who is Mustapa Khan? Who's the real author
of the two articles? Infeneum's website is at http://www.infeneum.com and Mixter's website is at http://mixter.void.ru.
There's also a management page, and the bio of Infeneum's CTO matches
exactly of that of Dr. Daniel Geer of @stake. You can take a look at those items here and here.
