The website of Vietnam’s leading internet security firm, the Hanoi-based Bach Khoa Internetwork Security Company, has been attacked by hackers, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) quoted its representative as saying Monday.

Nguyen Minh Duc, director of the company’s Internet Security Department, said in the report that they have restored the security system and that since doing so, customers have basically been able to access the website www.bkav.com.vn.

According to Duc, the website suffered symptoms associated with an attack known as "distributed denial-of-service" (DDoS). As of February 4, the company's website became unstable and was sometimes impossible to access at all, VNA said.
