VMware offers cloud-based IT management for SMEs
VMware has released a cloud-based service designed to provide SMEs with a simple and cost-effective way to manage physical and virtual IT environments. VMware Go Pro allows customers to set up the VMware vSphere Hypervisor, and simplifies patch, licence and hardware management, the firm said.
Key features include the ability to remotely install the vSphere Hypervisor on Windows machines by entering the IP address or name of that machine, and to create new virtual machines.
Patch management is made easier and more affordable, according to VMware, as physical and virtual machines are scanned to check whether patches from the likes of Microsoft and Adobe are up to date.
