A recent report indicates that Trendo Micro appears unwilling to stand by and watch what they believe to be the combined histrionics of both the security industry and various media outlets regarding viruses. Adequately informing the public without over informing or inciting panic is the ultimate happy medium one that will undoubtedly require a lot of work from all sides of the issue. The perpetuation of myths and misinformation about viruses are actions Trend Micro believes could be substantially more threatening then the viruses themselves.
