Technology Partnerships Canada investment helps develop Bluetooth wireless commu

Elinor Caplan, Minister of National Revenue,
on behalf of Industry Minister Allan Rock, today announced a $ 9.9-million
conditionally repayable Technology Partnerships Canada investment with Aastra
Technologies Limited. The investment will help the company undertake pre-
competitive research to develop a family of enhanced telecommunications
products that can wirelessly connect computers, printers and other
communications devices in both home and office environments. Devices using the
Bluetooth wireless standard will be capable of communicating through walls at
a distance of up to 10 metres.
