SPIRIT (www.spiritdsp.com/voip), the leading supplier of embedded software products for telecom and VoIP, announces enhanced version of its NetJet software targeted for VoIP communication.

SPIRIT NetJet is a set of state-of-the-art algorithms designed to improve voice-over-IP sound quality: Jitter Buffer, Packet Loss Concealment (PLC), and Forward Error Correction (FEC). The software successfully overcomes the problems of incoming network jitter and packet losses delivering toll speech quality even in multipoint conversations. The solution is easily integrated in both wideband and narrowband systems. In narrowband mode, SPIRIT NetJet guarantees quality of PSTN telephony or better (8 kHz sampling rate). Moreover, it brings IP communication to the higher level by supporting 16kHz sampling rate in wideband mode.
