Just in case you were wondering what Sober's latest adventures in cyberspace were, let us tell you that end of last week the pesky worm managed to interfere with all Microsoft-based-webmail bringing great difficulties in receiving mails to Hotmail and MSN users.

The Win32/Sober.Z@mm variant targeted Hotmail and MSN email servers with an "unusually high mail load", which lead to important delays in delivering email messages to Microsoft webmail users. According to Microsoft spokespeople, several Internet service providers such
as Comcast may be having problems directing e-mail to Hotmail and MSN servers.

Microsoft publicly apologized for this inconvenience and stated that it was working closely with all Internet service providers in order to solve this situation.
