So you wanna be a C++ code hacker?
The House of Help has gone technical on your proverbial butts
and posted Part One of their resident programmer's guide to learning C++. This
guide starts at the most basic "Hello World" program and will end somewhere down
the road with DirectX programming. The 'teacher' is a software designer, with
experience in C/C++, Java, Perl, Scheme, ML, Prolog, Basic, and a few scripting
languages. He's currently working on his Masters in Combinatorial Theory and has
taught Pascal, Java, and C/C++ in University, as well as in the work place."
Check out the first tutorial here. Personally I never got around to using C++ in a major way, although I'm sure all those of you out there that wanna end up creating games could benefit greatly from this.
