Saurik has recently announced the next version of cydia, that is, cydia 1.1. This version is slimmer, faster and more stable than the earlier version. One of the much awaited feature is the ability to run the application in background which is now available with this update. It means that you can now resume from the same place exactly where you left off.

Saurik, the creator of cydia, and some more developers have devoted this month in making application much better due to mobile substrate issue in the latest firmware (iOS 4.3.1) and instability. This release is the clear indication that JailBreak for iOS 4.3/4.3.1 will be available very soon as two different exploits have been found by two different hackers in the jailbreak community. You can upgrade to the latest version of cydia through an ‘upgrade’ that will be offered to you when you will launch the application. However, it is not confirmed that it will work with iOS 4.3.1 or not.

Those who are not getting this cydia upgrade can install manually from here (.deb) using Terminal for iOS 4.X or iFile.
