Qualys Offering Free Website Malware Scans
Malware isn't something that just infects your home computer. It can also hit your website. Hackers use methods like code injection attacks to insert a piece of Javascript or an invisible frame into the website. To the visitor, everything looks normal, but behind the scenes, this malicious code is looking for vulnerabilities on the visitor's computer.
Qualys has announced they'll be offering free scans to help keep websites clean. By using baseline tests, Qualys can tell when a website deviates from normal operating conditions. The scans are automated, so there's no need to manually kick it off every day, and Qualysguard Malware Detection will also identify the vulnerable code so the developer can quickly remove it.
