PS4 preorders sell out in the UK
Sony has announced that Playstation 4 (PS4) preorders have sold out in the UK.
Seeming to suggest that the PS4 is outselling Microsoft's more expensive Xbox One console, Sony said on Wednesday that preorders for its upcoming games console have sold out, adding that those who order the PS4 now are unlikely to receive it on launch day.
Sony's PS4 preorder page is showing the console as out of stock, and it looks like the message has made its way to third-party PS4 stockists too. Amazon is also no longer taking preorders, with its PS4 page instead displaying the message, "Due to high demand, orders placed for this PlayStation 4 console from August 6 may be received after release date. We will ship orders as soon as we receive sufficient inventory."
