planetbeing Puts Android On iPhone 3G
It's got to be a dream for phone geeks everywhere - two such high-profile mobile platforms being converged through the work of a very good hacker.
Master iPhone hacker David Wang, known by his online moniker "planetbeing," first was able to run Android on the first-generation iPhone last month. Now he's done his magic on the iPhone 3G.
Wang was also one of the key people behind jailbreaking the iPhone 3GS, and he's currently working on porting Android to that model as well. What the genius has done is created a dual-booting structure for the iPhone 3G. By using a tool called "Openiboot," he was able to port over a version of Android to the device.
