In a move that cut off Netbook owners from installing OSX on their machines, Apple updated their OSX to 10.6.2 which removed support for Intel Atom processors. Intel Atom processors are primarily used in Netbooks and are not used in any of Apple's computer lineup. For some time, hackers have been installing OSX on their Netbooks by using kernel hacks and special programs.

However, a new twist has developed according to Sam Oliver on AppleInsider.com. Hackers have developed a workaround trick that overcomes the new update's restriction and installs OSX. The hack is not easy and apparently requires some work on changing the OSX kernel code.
