Multifunction printers offer an interesting attack vector that can be used to gain a foothold into an internal corporate network. In this podcast, Deral Heiland talks about the attacks that can be mounted against multifunction printers and shares some security best practices and mitigation techniques.

He also presents Praeda, an automated printer data harvesting tool developed to better understand the risks associated with multifunction printers, and for penetration testers to gather usable data during security assessments. You can download a copy of Praeda from http://www.foofus.net/~percX/praeda/praeda.tgz
