You may have heard me drop hints about it at MakerCon in May…. and now we’re excited to update you that the first Intel® Galileo Gen 2 boards have started to roll off the production line.

Introducing Intel® Galileo Gen 2, the latest in a family of Arduino*-certified development boards based on Intel® architecture and specifically designed for makers, students, educators, and DIY electronics enthusiasts. Intel Galileo is a great tool for quickly prototyping simple interactive designs such as LED light displays that respond to social media or for tackling more complex projects, from automating home appliances to building life-size robots controlled by a smartphone. We make it easier for artists, designers and other enthusiastic developers who may not have technical backgrounds to create interactive objects or environments. To learn more about today’s makers and the tools they are using, check out this recent study conducted on Intel’s behalf by Harris Research.
