ALMOST everyone has wanted to be a hacker at some point. The appeal is universal. The challenge of cracking open a computer system when others have failed is almost irresistible.

It is like solving a puzzle, but at a different level.

However, not everyone has the skills to be a hacker and not many hacker groups can achieve the success of Polish sensation, the Last Stage of Delirium (LSD) Research Group (lsd-pl.net).

Recently, LSD earned the title “the hackers who broke Windows” for discovering a vulnerability that exists in almost every version of Windows.

That was not the first time the quartet of Michal Chmielewski, Sergiusz Fonrobert, Adam Gowdiak and Tomasz Ostwald caught the eyes of the media.
