Issue #22

Well, it's been a long month, and quite a fair number of things have happened since Issue #21... Firstly, we're proud to announce that we've finally launched hackinthebox.net the business solutions and network security services side of HITB! We've been meaning to get this done like ages ago, but have always been putting it off - eitherways, we've finally gotten the team together, and we've got the ball rolling so to speak. So, if you're in need of a security audit or perhaps need some hosting space, check out the site; we might have what you're looking for.

Secondly, we've also just recently provided a new Java IRC client which is a WHOLE LOT BETTER than the old one we had in place, so if any of you tried using that one before and you weren't particularly impressed -- give this new one a try. The team is usually chilling in #hackinthebox on irc.webmaster.com, so do drop by if you've got some time.

We've also just signed up techfocus.org as our latest affiliate, and I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome them into the HITB 'webring' of sorts. Do check them out -- I'm sure you'll find their resources useful. On a more personal note, my DSL line still hasn't come in, but oh well, what do you expect from a telco that says one thing one on day and quite another on the next. Anyway, here's the list of articles for this month's zine:

1.) Understanding IP Fragmentation - spoonfork
2.) A Comprehensive Intro to MySQL - madirish
3.) Remote Control - VNC Style! - L33tdawg
4.) A Comprehensive Intro to PHP - madirish
5.) Layoffs : How to conduct one, and how to recover from one - Diet Coke
6.) Welcome to Hell... Ehr Australia - Archfiend
