HP Pushes Mobile Printing Initiative

LAS VEGAS -- Aiming to push consumer and enterprise interest in wireless printing, Hewlett-Packard executives at CTIA Wireless I.T. & Internet 2002 unveiled the company's new Mobile Enterprising Printing Solution and several partnerships to enable printing from handheld devices.

Developed with Adobe Systems and Research In Motion, the system allows RIM Blackberry users to print Adobe PDF documents to a network printer in a corporation. Previously, BlackBerry users were not able to print attached documents without first synching the device to a desktop PC.
