L33tdawg: Do note that the entire exhibition area in which the Capture The Flag 'live hacking' competition, Google's Pwnium 2, Lock Picking Village, Technology Showcase and HITB CommSec Village is completely FREE AND OPEN TO PUBLIC - You do not need to register / pay for a conference ticket in order to access these areas! This is a rare chance to meet with some of the worlds' biggest names in security and researchers/hackers based in Malaysia and Singapore would be absolutely daft to pass up this opportunity imho.

In less than a week, the world-renowned Hack in the Box (HITB) security conference will open its gates for researchers and information security enthusiasts from all over the world. This edition, programmed to take part in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, between October 8 and October 11, marks the event’s 10-year anniversary.

All HITB conferences are special, but this one will be even more so, since 42 of the most popular speakers will take the stage once again.

Those who will be fortunate enough to attend will have the opportunity to see some of the best the security industry has got, including Mikko Hypponen of F-Secure, the founders of The Pirate Bay, John Draper - aka Captain Crunch -, Chris Evans of Google’s Chrome Security Team, researcher Charlie Miller, and Lucas Adamski from Mozilla Corporation. As usual, security enthusiasts can test out or improve their skills at various competitions and workshops.
