Asia's largest network security conference, HITBSecConf, hits Kuala Lumpur in September and this year promises to be its largest tech glitterati gathering to date.

The four-day "hacker-fest" will kick-off with two days of hardcore technical training sessions, followed by two days of dual-track presentations and never-before-seen attack demos.

Forty international network security specialists and prominent industry experts will convene in the city for the conference from Sept 3 to 6. With keynote speakers featuring industry icons Mark Abene aka "Phiber Optik," Emmanuel Goldstein, Lance Spitzner and Mikko Hypponen, this year's theme focuses on bleeding edge security research while showcasing the legacy of the hacker culture.

"Having had 600 attendees from 25 countries last year, we have clearly outgrown our previous venue," said Dhillon Andrew Kannabhiran, founder and CEO of Hack In The Box (M) Sdn Bhd, which organises the HITBSecConf series.
