Hackers to Launch Weapons of Mass Destruction in October
HITBSecConf, Asia's premier international security conference is bringing a new and improved version of their popular team-based Capture The Flag competition to the 7th annual HITBSecConf Malaysia, from October 5 - 8 2009.
Capture The Flag (CTF) is a network security contest, the objective of which is for teams to gain as many points as possible by defending their servers and attacking and taking over other teams' servers.
"HITB's CTF competition has been described as one of the hardest and most gruelling network security 'games' around and this year we are spicing things up and making the game a more 'visual' experience with CTF - Weapons of Mass Destruction (CTF WMD). This new game will be an intense experience for not only the participants but will also provide spectators with a better understanding of what's going on", said Amin Hamid, CTF Overlord 2.0 for Hack In The Box and the organizer of the CTF event.
