Hacker attacks Government website in Malaysia

A hacker has attacked a website belonging to Malaysia's Road Transport
Department (http://www.jpj.gov.my).

He warned that other websites will be hit if administrators are "too lazy to
do their jobs".

The attack has come nearly two months aftersimilar attacks on websites
of the Malaysian Parliament and Malaysia's University of Technology.

The hacker, who called himself 'senn-x', left graffiti on the website he
attacked which read: "This defacement has one reason: to prove that the
security of Malaysian computer systems has still not changed.

"This warning also goes out to other administrators who are too lazy to do
their job."

The Malay Mail says the incident came a week after the department
allowed motorists to check online whether they had been blacklisted by
police.

It quoted a source as saying that the culprit was probably a student with
computer knowledge. It is unclear what sort of damage had been inflicted
on the department's data and information banks.
Unfortunately, I've deleted the screenshot that someone sent me the other day, but if someone has linkage to the attrition mirror of the hack, by all means let me know. Oh yeah, I saw this bit of news on Ananova although the hack took place a few days ago.
