Google offers travel and conference grant to women hackers attending #HITB2012AMS
As part of Google's ongoing commitment to encouraging women to excel in computing and technology, we are pleased to announce the extension of the Google EMEA Travel and Conference Grant to any female hackers planning on attending HITBSecConf2012 - Amsterdam in May.
Formerly known as the Google Diversity Grant, Google first offered this grant to female computer scientists attending our event last year and has since doubled the reimbursement value for travel expenses to EUR1000 in addition to covering the conference fees of EUR899. Interested in applying? Submissions are due no later than the 4th of May and award winners will be chosen from the applicant pool to receive:
• 1 x complimentary pass for the Quad Track Conference on the 24th & 25th of May (valued at EUR899)
• Up to EUR 1000 towards travel costs (which will be reimbursed post event)
To be eligible for a conference grant, candidates must:
• Be a female working in or studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or technical field related to the conference subject
• Have a strong academic background with demonstrated leadership ability
• Attend the core days of the main conference (24th & 25th)
