Google's plan to integrate PDF into its Chrome browser will make life easier to end users, some of whom take IT courses to learn about such formats.

That's according to Shane Wright, the IT director of eDigitalResearch. Mr Wright added: "The most significant thing to take from this is Google's positioning as leading the way in browser development, and in end-user experience of rich web content."

He went on to say that this approach coincided with Google's development of the browser itself, and "robust support" for new standards like HTML5 which will change the way web interfaces are available. Mr Wright also said users will always need data in different formats to be handled across different browsers.
