Facebook to stop following you after log off

Every time you visit a site that features a Facebook "Like" button, your Web wanderings are sent back to the social network, even after you log off your account.

This discovery — made by technologist Nik Cubrilovic and confirmed by Facebook — caused quite a kerfuffle yesterday. Now, the privacy- bedeviled social network says it'll have those cookie problems fixed by Wednesday, according to Cubrilovic. Facebook engineers contacted him to discuss the the "bugs," he wrote in a follow-up blog post. Facebook also issued a public statement assuring users it's not doing abusing your info, but rather, using it for good.

Blah blah blah — besides a basic review in how the Internet (including Facebook) works, there really isn't much to see here, kids.
