Blackberry has sold one million Blackberry Z10 smartphones
Blackberry announced its fourth quarter financials on Thursday, revealing that it has so far sold one million Blackberry Z10 smartphones.
Blackberry's financial results were a bit of a mixed bag. It posted a $94m profit for the fourth quarter, up from third quarter profits of just $14m, but also announced that its customer based had shrunk by three million during the three month period.
Things aren't looking so bad for the firm's future, however. Of course, we won't know the full extent of the firm's Blackberry 10 shipments until the next quarter, but the company has revealed that it shipped one million Blackberry Z10 handsets in the three weeks that it was available in the quarter. When you consider that Apple sold five million iPhone 5s in just a few days, Blackberry is a long way off, but it's certainly not a bad start for the company's Blackberry 10 push.
