Apple says Jobs still to return end of June
Steve Jobs, Apple co-founder and chief executive, is still expected to return to his post at the end of June, the company shareholders were told today.
Apple's board of directors said at its annual gathering that there was no change to the plans for Mr Jobs, who has taken a six-month medical leave of absence, to return to the company's helm.
"Nothing has changed," Apple board member Arthur Levinson replied when a shareholder asked whether Mr Jobs would return to work on schedule. Apple announced on January 14 that Mr Jobs, who turned 54 on Tuesday, would step down because his health issues were "more complex" than initially believed.
