Apple manager denies kickback claims
An Apple manager has entered a not guilty plea in a supplier kickback case.
Global supply manager Paul Shin Devine pleaded not guilty to 23 criminal counts, including wire fraud and money laundering, stemming from an apparent kickback scheme with the company's hardware suppliers.
Devine is one of two men currently being charged in connection to the scandal. The pair were accused of accepting upwards of $1m in payments from suppliers in exchange for providing confidential information on Apple products. The information was then allegedly used by the suppliers to negotiate favourable contracts with the company.
