Apple iOS 4.3.1 to plug iPad 2 jailbreak hole
In the continuing game of cat and mouse between Apple and the jailbreaking community, the Cupertino company is rumoured to be preparing a point release of its mobile operating system aimed at slamming shut the door of the iPad's walled garden.
The often accurate Boy Genius Report says the release of iOS 4.3.1 will happen in the next one or two weeks, and comes just a few days after iOS 4.3 was unleashed on the world.
Despite a recent US court ruling which said that jailbreaking any of Apple's triumvirate of iDevices is perfectly legal, Apple is ever keen to retain absolute control of exactly how users install software onto their iPhones, iPods and iPads. iOS 4.3 had proof of concept jailbreaks within days of release and its only a matter of time before a publicly distribution of an easily installed version starts hitting the web.
