Advisory: WORM_COUPLE.A

This mass-mailing worm propagates via email using MAPI and Microsoft Outlook, and installs backdoor programs on the infected user's computer. The email arrives with the subject line: "Nice Couple."

Solution:

1.) Scan your system with Trend Micro antivirus and delete all files detected as WORM_COUPLE.A, VBS_ COUPLE.A, TROJ_OPTIXKILL.A, and TROJ_SUB7.21B. To do this, Trend Micro customers must download the latest pattern file and scan their system. Other email users may use HouseCall, Trend Micro's free online virus scanner.
