There’s no denying the fact that for physicists need computers to do their work and revolutions in computing technology has definitely allowed them to experimentally prove theories that were improvable a
generation ago due to the lack of processing power and computing capabilities.

Welcome dedicated fans! Please forgive any out-of-place numbers and/or missing white spaces ( ) in this article... Backslash, the normal enter, and space are all non-funtional at this time. I'm reduced to using alt-127 for backspace and alt-32 for space :( This is part 1 of a 2 part series compairing Patrick Volkerding's Slackware GNU/Linux O/S ver. 7.1 to Theo de Raadt's OpenBSD O/S ver. 2.8. Part 1 will deal with the origins of the two systems and cover some basic dis-similarities between them.

The State of The Hack Awards #1

Web page defacement has evolved into something of an art form, or perhaps more accurately the bastard child of art, and it is in recognition of this dubious achievement that I conduct the following examination of some of the more widely visible acts of (digital) vandalism. I neither encourage nor approve of the practice, by the way, but merely report on it. One may critique actions one does not
necessarily condone. On the other hand, on a few rare occasions the hack is better than the original content,

I know what your thinking when you see my title "The hack"... your thinking that this will discuss a new exploit or a backdoor, well your wrong! This article will discuss The "theoretical Hack". If this does not pique your interest then I ask you to read on because this is the knowledge

Quake III on Linux

I don't play many games for the main reason that I just totally suck at them and get bored quickly since I keep losing all the time - however, one common question I keep getting asked these days by Windows users moving to Linux for the first time, isn't so much of "what so great about it" but more of "Can I play games on Linux?". The answer to this is yes and no. Yes there are games on Linux, but no not many.

A look at ASPs (Application Service Providers)

ASP are an 'emerging technology' as the press likes to call it. The idea is customers of the service can subscribe to the applications of there choice hosted on foreign servers in order to allow them to run on more antiquated hardware, or simply to pay less than the total cost of the application. Ideally one would be able to run heavier software, such as Windows 2000, on an i386 or the like. Essentially, it turns your home PC into a dumb terminal, which is connected (via the net) to the providers servers.
