You have probably barely slept for wondering what kind of sniveling snail would put their picture up on Facebook with a fake winning Powerball ticket.

Or you have probably barely slept for wondering what kind of saintly sort would ask people to share on Facebook his picture with a winning Powerball ticket and offer $1 million to a random sharer.

Either way, the excitement generated by Nolan Daniels has been heated and profound -- especially as more than 2 million people have now shared in the experience. Now, it seems, we know which Nolan Daniels he is.

Despite calls for Facebook to stop planned changes to the way it makes privacy policy, analysts are divided over whether the changes would be bad for users.

Last week, Facebook announced that it's making an adjustment to the way it pushes through changes to its privacy policy. Facebook will no longer allow users to vote on proposed policy changes, citing the lack of quality comments it has been getting.

Facebook is testing automatic photo uploading on its iOS app. The social network began testing the feature for its Android users two months ago, and now the company has figured out how to incorporate the same feature for iPhone and iPad.

When this feature was first announced on Facebook’s Android app, my first thought was that awkward, angry conversations with former friends should quickly ensue.

Women suing an employer for sexual harassment will have to provide a court official with their social media and e-mail passwords. The novel procedure was announced by a Colorado federal magistrate judge earlier this month. Wendy Cabrera is the lead plaintiff in a lawsuit against the Honeybaked Ham Company. The woman say the corporate office failed to take action to stop his behavior after it was reported.

You should consider HTTPS — which stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure, though you don't even really need to know that — one of your best friends. You should knot it a friendship bracelet, send it a holiday card, and thank it for keeping you safe on the big bad World Wide Web. Even Facebook realizes this and has decided to use it to protect every user's account.

Facebook has launched a "pages-only" news feed where users can see a complete feed of updates from brands and properties they follow, rather than updates from their friends, The Next Web reported Wednesday. The move may be a partial answer to page owner outrage over drops in traffic volume that seemed to coincide with the introduction of paid post promotion for page owners.

Facebook users who have associated a mobile phone number with their accounts in order to enable the "Login Approvals" security feature can no longer be found on the website based on those phone numbers, the company said Monday.

Facebook's search system provides reverse lookup functionality that allows users to find other people on the website by searching for their phone numbers or email addresses instead of their names.
