Google Nexus One gets tethering

posted onJanuary 10, 2010

The Google Nexus One has been hacked now, where both wireless and wired tethering is now available in Android 2.1. To get this up and running, you will need to install some add-ons from the folks at XDA forums. Bear in mind that this is not a full ROM update, but is an add-on pack that comprises of a custom kernel, Busybox, Nano 2.09, powertop, dropbear, titanium backup and more importantly, wireless tethering option. Guess it will be a short while more before hackers find a way to enable multitouch functionality on the Nexus One through routes of porting it over from Motorola Milestone ROM, or through the European version of Nexus One.
