Zero-Day Bugs Won’t Be Fixed by Microsoft’s January Patch Tuesday
Two zero-day bugs which have been exploited by hackers will not be patched by Microsoft Corp.’s first Patch Tuesday of 2011.
The company will be releasing two security bulletins addressing three bugs all in all, but will not be patching two bugs which have caught the attention of attackers recently.
Earlier on Tuesday, Microsoft has confirmed a bug in its Windows operating system’s graphics rendering engine which attackers can exploit. The company has issued instructions for workarounds for the said bug. The other bug which will not be addressed by next Tuesday’s security bulletins concerns a Cascading Style Sheet-related bug in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser.
