Turkish Foreign Ministry Hacked
Members of RedHack recently accessed the Web site of Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stealing data and and placing photos of Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyp Erdogan embracing Syrian president Bashar al Assad and Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi on the site.
"Today, the group provided a link to a Dropbox file-sharing address, which contained images of the identity cards the Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued for foreign diplomats working in Turkey," PanARMENIAN.net reports.
"RedHack dedicated the hacking of the foreign ministry website to the victims of the carnage of Sivas, a city in Anatolia where on July 2, 1993, 36 people, mostly intellectuals of the Alawite minority group, were killed, many of them burnt alive, after Sunni militants set their hotel on fire," ANSAmed reports. "The group was attending a festival on Alevi poetry and literature. A trial ended two years ago without a verdict after the statute of limitations expired for the suspects."
